Yo! Savvy Mamas! And Squirrels!

I picked up a bundle of Savvy Squirrel Coupon Books from creators Lale and Tabitha today. I put a coupon in the book - 15% off discount code at DressMeUp.ca (and noooo... I won't give it away here - you'll have to pick up a coupon book to get the code!). It was so fun to see it in print, ready to go.

The Savvy Squirrel Coupon Book is darling and packed with truly great deals for family-minded hip and eco-products and services sourced from within the Victoria area. I love how the book is small enough to easily carry with me so that I'll be sure to actually use the coupons.

I'm going to have this bundle of Coupon Books for sale at the Moss Street Market this Saturday. $10 +GST for $550 worth of coupons to places like Crumsby's and Ooh La La Cupcakes, Hemp & Company and Sailor Jacks, Hemma and local spas & health practitioners - and more resources and stores for babies and tots that I could easily list.

Uber savvy!

Time to Picnic

I received this picture this morning. This little fella is curled up in one of my Ostrich Picnic Blankets. A sweet, quiet, spring moment - gorgeous!

The Ostrich Picnic Blankets are one of my most popular items, and I'm getting some ready for the first Moss Street Market day on May 1st. If you're lucky, you may see this little fella there - at his parents Sweet Earth Farms stand! Here's an awesome article from the archives about this babe's papa, farming urban and rural land in Victoria BC, and here's his mama's yoga studio too.

Community Market LOVE

For the past two years I've been really, really active with my local community farmer's market ~ The Moss Street Market. I have loved being immersed in the work of and surrounded by intentional food-and-craft-and-produce growing-and-making-and-baking by folks who are truly committed to making a difference in the world, one market day at a time. It's so inspirational and enjoyable. I love our Market!

This season will be a tad (just a tad) different for me with the arrival of Baby No. 2. Last year I was selling at the Market close to every week, rain or shine ... this year I'll sell at the Market when the weather is good, baby is happy and the previous night's sleep went well. Ha! Wishful thinking? Positive intention setting! I hope to see all you locals at our first Full Market Day - Saturday, May 1st, 10am - 2pm ... But don't forget about our lovely Half Market Days too, starting this Saturday, April 17th, 10am-12noon. Enjoy the best of Spring's offerings while Nathaniel and I are at our first of two amazing birth prep classes.

Oh, Happy Summer - here you come!
