The day quickly deteriorated. I don't have a picture of the minor sewing mayham that ensued - how does one take pictures of the tiny moments of silly error and oversight and machine malfunction? In the height of the ridiculous (forgetting to check my machine's stitch length, forgetting to serge in labels, forgetting to actually finish the second step before trying to finish the blanket entirely, bah!), I left the sewing room, made myself some toast and coffee and watched the last half of Ellen (where she suggested to Will Smith that he seriously consider being Obama's running mate) and one full episode of Degrassi: the Next Generation. After that I felt much, much better.
I took a quick trip to my local Bill Murray and he fixed my serger on the spot (on the spot!), and on the way home I found a free white board, a big one, and that was a treat because I'd been thinking about buying one and wishing they weren't so expensive. Later on, Little R. actually led me to the place where she hid my sunglasses (she could feel the mounting tension, I'm sure), and I even got the order to The Little Seed and two Etsy Bonbon orders packaged up.
I've decided that today will be a no-sewing day, and we're off to the Park. Well, first to the post office - we'll find a way to make that play too.
